Duty. Honor. Country.
And Shoewelry.
On this day of remembrance, we are filled with solemn pride in the heroism of all those that have served and continue to serve in defense our nation. As a female-founded, female-focused company, we are especially grateful for the opportunities we freely enjoy thanks to the fearless female veterans who have selflessly served.
On May 28, 1980, sixty-two brave women blazed the trail for all future female generations to pursue a commitment to duty, honor and country at the United States Military Academy. These women stood tall in the face of adversity and criticism and proved their courage, strength, and love for their country when joining the Long Grey Line that stretches back to 1802.
Cheval felt it was only right to name our first combat boot after these #SHEROES. And this is especially fitting as one of our co-founders, Krysta Cass, is also a Veteran. As a Captain in the Army with 8 years of service, 3 deployments to the Middle East, numerous military awards AND a private helicopter license, SHE IS a veteran well worth celebrating today.
Presenting…. 1980 Year of the Lady
A statement commando boot in a variety of colors, armed with detachable shoewelry.
These unique color names are inspired by the rich military history of our COO. Flirty Walk is a reference to a shoreline trailhead at West Point that honors cadets whose lives were cut short at the Academy. X02700 is a reference to Krysta's cadet number while she was at West Point herself. And the Land Baron is a call out to her first call sign on her first deployment to Afghanistan.
In honor of all our Veterans, She is Cheval is doing what we can to support our troops both past and present. A portion of the proceeds from our 1980 Year of the Lady combat boot will be donated to the USO: so you can support our troops and look mighty fine doing it.
