The one where Hayley Paige goes to Capitol Hill

The one where Hayley Paige goes to Capitol Hill

It was an incredible honor to testify in front of the U.S. Senate earlier this week, advocating for the FTC's ruling to ban noncompete agreements. My journey is an extreme example, but noncompetes negatively impact employees, businesses, and consumers every day. They stifle competition, cause financial devastation, and, in my case, prevent someone from contributing their craft and spreading sparkle to their community.

In May 2024, after a grueling 3.5 years of litigation, I was finally able to purchase my name and intellectual property from my former employer. Through a legal settlement, my noncompete was lifted. I am immensely humbled by this outcome, as not everyone has the opportunity or legal resources to weather such a storm. I am deeply grateful to Senator Warren for personally inviting me to share my story and to my legal team, who continued to fight for me even when my financial resources ran dry.

My sincere hope is that sharing my experience will positively impact the movement to ban noncompetes for good, further supporting the ambitions of creators and employees across the country.

But most importantly, I am SO very THANKFUL for YOU. Your words of encouragement, unwavering support, and every purchase you’ve made have given me every reason to stand up for myself. You've helped me reclaim my livelihood, and for that, I am eternally grateful.

Cheers to the American Dream and to a future where everyone can pursue their passions freely.

With all my love and gratitude; thank you for being a friend.
