This is our last weekend in a pop-up shop... for now

I cannot believe what was supposed to be “just a couple of months” of a holiday pop-up turned into a year and change. I have often thought to myself: how many small businesses get the opportunity to launch with a physical store...and to have that store in NYC?! It's been a blessing to say the least.

Pivoting my trade from wedding dresses to shoes has been dynamic and challenging, but I knew the hardest part would be missing out on working with the customers in person. Traveling to trunkshows and having those in-person "say yes" moments with brides will always be in my heart. The Seaport Store took on that heartfelt challenge and filled the void with sparkle from the sea. It also allowed me to grow my skill set, gain customer feedback, and learn how to best balance our product assortment. Getting to watch girls strut right into our store, try on the shoes in person, and tell me exactly what they loved and didn’t love was a full-circle way to keep that heart beating to a creative rhythm and keep the butterflies a’flutter.

Whether you physically came to our store or supported us on social media from afar, I thank you SO VERY MUCH.

And not to make this sound like an acceptance speech but… I have some people to thank:

  • Our Chief Experience Officer and cofounder, Elyse - some people come into your life for a reason, a season, a lesson, or a lifetime…this gal is all of the above with sprinkles on the rim. A true ride or die and no one else I’d rather be pulling up bootstraps or be in the weeds with.

  • My fiance and my family - can’t really go down this rabbit hole here or I’ll cry and you will need all the crackers for my cheese. But he is my safe haven and raddest best friend. And the support from my family has truly been wind beneath our wings.

  • Our partnerships, associates, and business women contractors.... You know who you are. You are true gemstones and so very appreciated.

  • The people who were there in the beginning and chose to move on along with me - wishing much success and light to those who seek opportunity elsewhere.

  • Our mentors - we are a female-owned business, but we are grateful for the wisdom and guidance we’ve received from some remarkable men we admire and respect.

  • The Seaport Organization who have been so generous and kind to us… their entire team is so hardworking and inspiring. We loved adding fresh steps to the cobblestones and highly recommend visiting on your next trip to NYC…. get the snickerdoodle cookie at the T Cafe, the swordfish sando at The Fulton, and say hi to John the Viking bartender at the Fishmarket dive bar.

Being a storyteller means appreciating a chapter ending and jump-starting anew, so we are going to celebrate, express gratitude, and say sayonara with a seriously accessible flash sale online (and in-store if you’re in NYC Saturday from 12-5pm). This is our way to thank you personally and hopefully add some (more) sparkle to your closet. Shop our website right now for your slice of pie at a slashed price!

Also, more pop-ups to come. Look out Tennessee, Florida, and Kentucky:) dates TBD.

BIG AND BOLD BANGARANG friends,

CHEVAL
